Outline of Time Management Plan
Again using last year as a learning experience, we want to start filming early. This will allow us to re-shoot anything that we feel doesn’t work when editing.
January is a very busy time; however we still want to begin filming then. We will use the first two weeks in January to film around four times a week. These will not be long whole days of shooting, but short but frequent sessions. Then during study leave we will restrict this down to around two times a week.
We want to have many more filming days than last year. Firstly, because the film will be three minutes longer than last year. Secondly, to add more detail to each shot or scene. This will allow us to focus much more on mise-en-scene, and experiment much more with different camera shots.
Hopefully, by increasing the quantity of filming days, this will lead to a much higher quality with more time and choice sue to more shots being taken.
Obviously, we cannot confirm any dates until we have fully completed casting and found free dates with our music producer.
Budget Plan
We can use last year’s project as a strong guideline for this year’s budget plan. However, our costs will have changed because of the equipment we already have, and our ambitions of what we want to improve.
We already have:
· HD Camera
· Tripods
· Final Cut Express
Therefore, we have already covered some of our main and most expensive costs, which took up most of the budget last year.
What we need:
· Plasterboard
· Paints
· Other materials for set
· Costume/make-up
· Props
On this project we want to spend much more on costume. We feel that we can add much more personality to the main character, as it will allow us to include much more detail within his costume which can relate to his characteristics. We also must consider the cost of creating our own small set for particular shots, and the pros and cons of doing so.
Maximum budget - £200
